New Idea: Passengers automatically shoot zombies when they enter the car.
- It causes only a minimal damage compared to vehicles main weapons, maybe they can kill 1-2 zombies, and thats all. it's only for realism/fun
- Passenger weapons can be standart. But if developers have some time. They can think of different weapons for different passengers.
a) Young students can not shoot at all
b) Regular Passengers can shoot with a variety of basic weapons such as handguns(weak/medium range), shotguns(strong/short range), hunting rifle(very slow/long range/1 shot 1 kill)
c) Military personnel can use advanced weapons such as assault rifle, etc.
- Just think a Bus with 16 passangers with a variety of weapons. It will look like a war machine but please remember the damage of these passenger weapons are nothing compared to vehicles main weapons. And this is ok because most of these passengers are not weapon experts.



Request List
1- free roam mode
2- mission select option (to play the previous levels)
3- better physics (speed and weight of the car has to effect something and it should be different for various types of cars)
4- taxi style free play (get a passenger from a random house bring it to another random house)
5- Fully Featured Level Editor (same stuff which you guys used for creating this excellent game. please do not crop it.) [this request is a replacement of random map generator which seems not very possible to achieve at this point)
6- minimap + compass



Free Roam -in detail-
- free roam can be unlocked after completing the game

I have removed random map generator from the list which seems not very possible. But I replaced it with a better one. Level Editor !!!

The minimap is a good idea so you know where you are driving too. This way you save time before your people that you need to save die because you can't found the base or the place.

I am happy to know that other users would also like these kind of additions as well.

thank you for writing back and supporting these ideas.

But most important thing is, most of these ideas were already requested before. So, I don't want to take credit about all of these nice ideas. So, please consider this list just as a kind of small reminder.


edit:
I have just completed the game. It's an excellent game ! Here is my free roam dream.

I rather agree with the 'Free Roam' concept. You could simply (optionally ;)) take away the time limit on the missions, and that would make them more or less free-roam, definitively sufficient to keep us happily busy for some time to come :)

I support all the requests. All of them are just awesome.


Tho, a thing I really want is guides on how to add new vehicles and weapons.
Tho, I haven't checked hard enough if it is an possibility without having ModTools.

I was thinking, when you push the TAB button, that you see the mission, amount of zombies killed,... might be helpfull for if you forgot something :P

pretty much agree with the list above, but here's what i'd like to have.

1. mini map - so yo can see where the heck you are.
2. being able to remap the controls/support for controllers
3. level select.
4. MINI MAP!!! - seriously why? even mario kart had a friggin mini map!

The developers said that a mini map would be difficult.

Although I dare say I agree - a mini map would be really, really helpful. It's the one thing I kept missing in the game.

It doesn't even have to be a minimap, since the game is singelplayer it could be a fullscreen map that you toggle.
Of course I'd love to have both :lol:
